YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

SCENE is the young professionals group of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival that brings together emerging leaders in their 20s to 40s from across all industries who are interested in arts and culture in Ann Arbor. These enthusiastic, informal ambassadors encourage others to support the Festival by attending concerts, hosting special events and taking part in one of the area’s premier arts organizations.

Preview event aimed at post-graduates and young professionals featuring Ann Arbor Soul Club and WCBN DJ Robert Wells spinning rare northern soul 45s. Stop by after work to enjoy a fresh brew or cocktail while you experience the sound of young America in the Sixties and early Seventies.

This party takes place immediately following cabaret diva MEOW MEOW’s performance in “Beyond Glamour: The Absinthe Tour” at the Power Center.  Designed for young professionals who like things frisky, the “after purr” will feature drink specials and DJ spinning groovy beats.  Bring you own catnip.

2006 Festival Season – Pink Flamingos Party
In honor of acclaimed independent filmmaker, John Waters’ dark comedy, Pink Flamingos, SCENE members dressed in pink and mingled with Mr. Waters at a downtown Ann Arbor loft space

2005 Festival Season – Martini & Miles Event
Hosted by the Firefly Club in downtown Ann Arbor, area young professionals gathered to network and enjoy an intimate performance of Miles Davis-inspired tunes by THE TURTLE ISLAND STRING QUARTET on the eve of their Power Center performance.
